Police oases it the Magistrate's Court today were taken by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. One first-offending inebriate was dealt with in tho usual manner. James F. Trovnor. charged with the theft at Giebome on 27th April, 1921, of a portmanteau and contents valued at £54 13s, tho property of H. J. Holachoer, and with the theft of a portmanteau and contents valued at £10. tho property of John Duffy, wae remanded to appear air Gi«borno on 2nd July. Bail was allowed in tho sum of £100.
Annie M'Kenzio was fined 5s for drunkenness. She was also charged with wilfully damaging a w»ter-juj» and a dozen glasses, the property of Adam Monro. It was explained that M'Konzie had visited the New ZoaUnder Hotel, and, on being refused drink, she began to throw things about She was ordered to pay the expenses, and a prohibition order was also issued against her. William Henry Mitchell, charged wjrth the theft of an overcoat and a hat, valued at £3 13s, the property of Nicholas Buckworth, was remanded until Ist July. Francis N. Hitching, who pleaded guilty to obtaining from Basil Thompson meals to the valufe of 32s by false pretences, was admittad to probation for twelve months.
