TRAMWAYMEN'S WAGES
In mentioning the settlement of tha tramwaymen's dispute at the meeting of Wellington City Council on Thursday, the Mayor is reported to have, stated that raotormen and conductors were already earning without overtime up to £6 Is 3d per week. , Mr. ,A. L. Monteith, secretary of the Tramwaymen's Union, states 'that the highest-paid motorraan receives £4 19s per week without overtime, the wago being 2a per hour for a week of 48 hours, with a bonus of 3s.
