The bi-weekly concerte at the Sailors' Friend Society still retain their pouuLirity, as was shown at Mrs. .Chalk's concert on Timrsday, wheii" a ronsiug welcome was given to hostess and i>er-forme'i-s by the men. Airtli, Kennedy, Laylock, Flat, Hunt, Captain Seatou, and Masters Arthur Chalk and Scott. 'Bfes.- Harding was at the piano, i* The intervals were filled^ in by humorous and'difficult competitions. The prizes were donated by the hostess, avid were won by Wangaratte, Arawa, Kamo, and Port Caroline. It was announced that the secretary of', the Maruie would unveil tho Omaka Memorial Tablet on Sunday evening.
