i- The "vVellinKton branch, of .the .Educational.Jnstitute met "in the Y.M'.C.A. Hall to hear a second lecture on "Drawing" by,Mr. L.'..J.: Watldns, of the Training Gollego. About 200 teachers were present.' .'-. The president (Mr. A. C. Blake) announced that the secretary of the Education ®oard had kindly promised, subject to confirmation by the board, to nay the rent-of the hall,for that meetins:, as the board recognised the benefit to be derived by teachers from such lectures. So interesting-and instructive was this lecture that Mr. Watkins has been asked to give another, and has agreed to do so.
It was resolved to congratulate Mr. C. N-.l^aslam on his anpointment. to the inspectorate in Canterbury.
