Blake) announced that the secretary of the Education ®oard had kindly promised, subject to confirmation by the board, to nay the rent-of the hall,for that meetins:, as the board recognised the benefit to be derived by teachers from such lectures. So interesting-and instructive was this lecture that Mr. Watkins has been asked to give another, and has agreed to do so.

It was resolved to congratulate Mr. C. N-.l^aslam on his anpointment. to the inspectorate in Canterbury.
