Th« coming and' departing seafaring guests were entertained to a round ol! vocal and instrumental items ofv^a popular variety, by 'their hostess,, Miss Mary Anderson, at the Sailors' Friend Society on Thursday.. Hie performers were : Mesdames; Bott and Dunne, ■ thn Misses Anderson, Giltaspie, Harper, and Messrs. Bert Smith, O'Neill. Whaler, Carroll, Nicholls, Affection, Lesky, Searle, and Master Asher. Mr. Bert Smith was at the piano. A special appeal was made by the chaJmijan for discorded reading matter. The competition prizes cam© from the hostess and Miss Jackson, and went to the Wahnate aaid lonic.
