SWIMMING

(IX TIIIdtAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

AUCKLAND, 10th May. The Auckland Centre of the Swimming Association passed the followinging resolution:—"Viewing with alarm and strongly. protesting against the decision of1 the New Zealand Council in declaring that Leo Kronfeld has forfeited his amateur status, this centre contends that Kronfeld transgressed innocently, if he transgressed at all, and requests the council to expunge, at once from its records such disqualification. In the event of the request not being acceded to, the centre will call an indigna.tion meeting, and pledges itself to use every effort to right the injustice, which it feels is the Tesult of hasty judgment, even at the cost of incurring the displeasure of the Dominion Council." ,
