STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having offered a good yarding of sheep and pattlo at Levin on Tuesday last. Sheep sold well, but the cattle, consisting mainly of well-bred grown bullocks, wero absolutely neglected. Prices: Fat ewes, 9s to 32s 5d ; fat and forward lambs, lls 4d to 12s 6d; m.s: lambs, 9s Is. At Otaki on Wednesday, fat wethers made 13s 6d; four-tooth wetbors, 116; m.s. two-tooths, 7s 6d. The Upper Hutfc sale was held on Thur?day last, and springing cows and heifers of good quality were again in ' keen demand, cows making up to £17 5s and heitors to £15. Quotations were:—Two and four-tooth wethers, to 10s lOd; mixed age ewes, 10s; shorn lambs, 6s 3d; store cows, 30s to £2 12s 6d; light fat cows, £5; bulls, £2; springing heifers, £9 10s, £11, £12, £14, £15; springing cow, to £17 ss; cows ft) milk), £11 to £15.
