THE MAGISTRATACY
REARRANGEMENT OF DISTRICT.
Consequent on the appointment of Mr. V. G. Day, S.M., as President of the Assessment Court and the appointment of Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt as Resident Com-i missioner at the Cook Islands, it has been necessary to rearrange the districts (if several of the Stipendiary Magistrates, and to-day the Minister of Justice, the Hon. B. P. Lee, anounced the following transfers: —
Mr. Wyvern Wilson, from Wanganui to North Canterbury; Mr. T. A. B. Baily, from New Plymouth to Wanganui. Mr. C: R; O. Walker, from Greymoutb to New Plymouth. Mr. H. W. a newly-appointed Magistrate, is to be, atationod at Greymouth,
Mr. R. M. Watson is to take the Taihape District, formerly in eharffe of Mr. Hewitt, S.M. Mr. E. W. Burton, now at To Kuiti, will take the Country .Courts south of Auckland, at present taken by Mr. Watison. v i
Mr. F. W. Plwfcts will take tho Te Kuiti District. . ■ '
