(Received April 30, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, 29th April. On the figures for March, the coal strikers have already lost twenty-one millions in wages;
The Mining Association announces that after a long conference the owners' representatives have come to the oonclusion that the best prospects for an advance lie in the districts, and they have accordingly returned to the country, where they are prepared to discuss schedules of wages with their men. Owing to the shortage of coal, short time has commenced in the Vickers shipyard at Barrow.
