HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

The new programme presented at His Majesty's Theatre last evening contained several fresh items, all of which proved populitr with the large audience. Heading the list of performers are the Vardells, who succeed in living up to their name, as the "superior" athletes. The Vardells perform a nnmber of surprising athletic feats, and conclude their performance with "A Slide for Life."—a. daring "turn." The Gibbon Duo, English comedy artists, experience no difficulty in keeping the a-udience amused with some clever burlesque work, and Arthur Tanchent, besides singing a number of comic songa in a manner all his own, recite.? one of C. J. Dennis's poema, "Springtime." Brull and Helmsley appear this week in a laughable musical sketch, "The Girl, t.he Kuut, and the Egjj," which includes songs, clever dialogue, and dancing. A feature of this act is the singing of "Lazy Missiasippi." The Rev. Frank Gorman is etill as great a favourite as ever, and his budget of songs this week is well up to the standard. Ernest Pitcher is a very capable comedian, and Vaude and Verne keep the audience amused with patter. Others who appear are : Captain Erard. Campbell and Mayo, and Munroo juid Massoy.
