Weather—B, blue sky, be the ataoiphert clear or huy; C, cloudy, passing clouds; I>, drizzling rain; F, foggy; G, gloomy, dark weather; H, hail; L, lightning; M, nitty; O, overcast, the whole sky covered with thick clouds; P, passing showers; Q, squally; X, rain, continued ruin; S, snow; T, thunder; U, ugly, threatening appearance; Z, hazy. Wind—l, light; br, breeze; Jb, fresh brteze ; m g, moderate gale.; g, whale or heavy gait; w, gait ef exceptional severity. FORECAST. At 9 a.m. to-day the following forecast was issued for the subsequent U hours:— Winds—Westerly, moderate to strong and increasing, northward of East Cape and Kawhia; strong to gale elsewhere, and changing to southerly after about 20 hours. Barometer—Fall everywhere, but rising again shortly. : ... Seas—lncreasing on all the western coast and southward of Castlepoint shortly; moderate elsewhere. " Tides—Good generally. Warning signals for westerly gales are exhibited at Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen Island, Farewell Spit, Cape Foulwind, and Nugget Point. • • ■ Weather—Unsettled and cloudy; heavy rain probable in the West Coast and southern districts and rivers rising; rain following elsewtere.
