CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Reserved judgment, was given by Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., in connection with tho charge against Whitcombq and Tombs and William Ensom of importing prohibited goods, namely, a book entitled "Red Europe." Defendants were each fined £2 ancl costs and the books seized and ordered to be forfeited to His Majesty. At the request of counsel the fine in Ensom's case was increased to £6 that an appeal might be'lodged.
