MONEY POURING IN.

"The money is pouring in and it is desirable that the Bill should be given the Governor-General's assent as soon as possible" remarked Sir Francis Bell in the Legislative Council yesterday, when he moved the second reading of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Loans Bill authorising the raising of additional funds for soldier settlement. One clausa of the Bill says that securities to th*> extent of £2,500,000 may be issued as available for the payment of death duties, and Sir .Francis thought that might be producing a desire to get in first. "I am not sure of that," he added, "but the money is pouring in."
