FATAL FALL FROM A TRAIN

DANNEVIRKE, 12th October.

An inquest was held by the Coroner into the death of Norah Mildon, who fell off the Napier-bound express last Friday at Kopua, and died the same evening in the Dannevirke Hospital. No one saw the accident, but the woman was found lying beside a train on the siding after the express had passed. She wasi picked up in a dazed condition and brought to Dannevirke. A post-mortem examination disclosed a fracture of the skull and contusion of the brain, causing death. A verdict was returned accordingly. /
