SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

The Misses G. and H. Shepherd -were the hostesses at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday evening. Encores were the order of the evening. Those who gave items were : Misses Shepherd (2), Little, and Messrs. Buckman, Murrey, Salek, Tuohy, Beswery, Seelly, and Stein. The competitions were keanly. contested, and prizes, which came from Mrs. Shepherd and the hostesses, went to Athenie, Matatua, and Otira.
