LOWELL THOMAS.
Lowell Thomas, the young American writer, lecturer, and world traveller, who took ■, London by storm during. his six months' season there, will appear at the Grand Opera House on Saturday next, for six nights only. No English or American lecturer has achieved anything liko the fame this young American has done in London. All that is most interesting in the Holy fcand is thrown upon the screen, either in moving-picture or stilt colour, to reveal, for example, the beauty of such scenes of enchantment a-s Petra, the rose-red city, "half as old as Time," and to show Allenby's cavalry sweeping across the country, the advance of Colonel Lawrence's camel corps through tins deserts, and the various other measures that were taken to drive out the Turks. The interest between the old and, the new is wonderfully interwoven, whilst the triumph of Field-Marshal Lord Allenby l-uns through the pictures' as the central them©, the imperishable history of the! past is also always recalled. The box plan for this important J. C. Williamson: atraction opened at the Bristol this morning.
