A DESPERATE FIGHT
(Received October 11, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 10th October. A patrol of the EsEex regiment, with two motor-lorries, was ambushed at Newcestown, and a- desperate fight ensued. Lieutenant Richardson was killed and a lieutenant and three soldiers were seriously wounded. The civilian casualties are not known.
