POLISH TERMS ACCEPTED

BOLSHEVIKS "THOROUGHLY BEATEN." (B»1TB»- PKSS ASSOCIATION.—COriIUCHT.) (AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 6th October. It-is officially confirmed that the Kusso-Polish armistice will be signed by Friday. The Morning Post's Riga correspondent states that Joffe (head of the Soviet delegation), acting under instructions from Moscow, hastily accepted almost all the Polish terms. These included a demand for a shaie of tiie Russian goldr reserve, -but the amount was not agreed on.' (PUBU3HSD IN TBS TIMES.) LONDON, 6th October. >.! The Warsaw correspondent of The Times expresses doubt whether an immediate peace will be secured. . He says the Bolsheviks made a last great effort and fought hard, but were thoroughly beaten. Everything now proves that utter demoralisation has set in in the Red armies. -In many cases regiments shot the military commissaries, and then surrendered en masse. General Wrangel is anxious that the Polish war should be pushed 'on. to prevent the Bolsheviks concentrating for a winter campaign on the southern front. Wrangel's emissaries prophesy that another month's pressure by the Poles as well as on the southern front will set all Russia,, in revolt against the Communists. . ■

The latest report from Warsaw states that the Bolsheviks have accepted all Poland's proposals, and an armistice has been signed. Peace negotiations must commence on 16th October.
