NEW GOVERNMENT WANTED
I In discussing trade with the islands of r the Pacific in the House of Representatives yesterday, the Prime Minister* said I that he did not think that New Zealand had ever sent a vessel direct to the New Hebrides. Those were islands with great possibilities, in which New Zealand should be greatly interested. It would | be the duty of the Minister of External j Affairs to take up with Great Britair the I question of the Government of the New I Hebrides. He did not suggest that New ■ Zealand should take control of the is- • lands, but it was the duty of the Governments of the British Dominions in the Pacific to insist that some" better arrange-.ment-should be made for the Government of those islands than obtained at present under the condominium
