CONCESSIONS TO SINN FEIN

At the Dublin conference Lord French (?) moved that the policy of the Government was tending to civil war, :ind it was of paramount importance that immediate steps be taken, io secure peace. He added that the reconquest of Ireland meant destruction of whatever property was left, and declared that those who .called for military intervention were calling for the assassination of the nation. The r'esolutior vine, adopted. Sir Horace Piunkett declared that the conference was ready to accord ninetenths of the Sinn Feiners' demands.
During a discussion on a Dominion Home Rule system for Ireland, Sir Stanley Harrington urged that three mediating statesmen should be chosen from Australia, New Zealand, and Canada
