Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Tiritiri, Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen Island, Farewell Spit, Cape Foiilwind, and Nugget Point. Weather—Unsettled and cloudy weather expected, with rain following generally; heavy rain with rivers rising ■ shortly in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island. B. V.
