ADDRESS BY MR. HOWARD ELLIOTT
The Orange Hall, Fetone, was well filled last evening, when the Rev. Howard Elliott gave an address on "Eome, the Sower of Disunion." Mr. Ashman, president of the local branch of the P.P.A., presided. Mr. Elliott in the course of his remarks expressed regret that in Australia the Protestants were attacking the religious doctrines of the Church of Rome. This he objected to, because every man had the right to worship his God in whatever manner he wished. As long as the church doctrines did not interfere with the laws of the land then he would have nothing to say. But the Protestants were determined that Rome should be kept in her place and get only what was due to her. Mr. Elliott went on to deal with the Roman Catholic Church, Sinn Feinism, the position in Poland, the disloyalty of extreme Labour, the Ne Temere decree, Dr. Mannix, and the determination of the P.P.A. to continue its campaign for equal opportunities for all, special privileges to none. The lecturer was heartily thanked for his address.
