HARRIERS

Saturday's run of tho Brooklyn Harriers ■ took' place from Lyall Bay. The trail led along the beach for a mile, thence across the sandhills to the golf links, and from there the cross-country championship course was followed for some three miles. The pack then made for home, where the usual run in was held, and resulted: R. Poutawera 1, J. Greig 2, H. Robinson 3. On Saturday next, at Miramar the Wellington crosscountry championship, for the Whyte and M'Kay'Shield, will be held., The club has now won the shield on four occasions, 1911, 1913, 1915, and 1919. The: following teams 'will represent the club on Saturday next: —A team.—R; Bell, W. Burk, j>. Todd, N. Smellie, C. Dentice, H. Robinson. B ,team. —F. Harlen, N. Meech, G. Sherwood, F. Billing, A. Mitchell, T. .Collins.

Last Saturday the Olympic Harriers held a run from Seatoun. The runners were divided into several packs, and were despatched at intervals. They followed a, course selected by W. Snedden, T. Wilson, and A. Scarf, which was about seven miles long, and embraced' the five-mile championship course. The intention .was to give the A and. B teams a try-out prior to the big race next Saturday.
