His Majesty the King has consented to become patron of the Imperial War Famine Fund 'Committee. The committee includes the^remier, Lord Birkcnhead, the lea.ders of political parties and churches. ' The British Red Cross' Fund intends to co-ordinate and concentrate on a British effort for the relief of one of the most terrible tragedies in history. The fund will be shortly launched in every district in London, and will be exfjended rapidly through the provinces and dominions, so||hat it may become an impressive Imperial movement by British peoples as a whole. ■■'■■'
