MONTHLY MEETING.

The monthly -meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board was heid last cveni ing. Ylv. J. G. Harknecs (chairman) presided, and there were also present : .Messrs. C. E. ■Daniell, M. W.. Welch, J. W. M'Ewan, J. G. Cobbe, R. Y E. Sinclair, M. Cohen, C. M. Tun-ell, C. H. Chapman. R. A. Wright, 1.'1.P., and Captain C. M'Arthur. The statement of accounts showed that there was a. credit' balance of £37,----580 15s in. the current account, and of £2055 7s 3d in the imprest account. The. amount on fixed deposit is £60,0C0. T?ay- . ments for May totalled £34,008 16s sd. The Chairman reported that a letter had bee)i received from the secretary to the Prince of Wales conveying to the ■ board the sincere thanks of His .Royal Highness for the loyal addres3 ot welcome presented to him. A letter was received from the. Education Board thanking the board for its donation to the Chiidren'B Memento Fund in connection with, the visit of the Prince of Wales, and ..also thanking the traffic manager for the assistance given on. Children's Day.
