HOSPITAL AFFAIRS
MEETING OF THE BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon, tho Chairman (Mr. F. Castle) presiding. It was decided to send a letter,to the relatives of the late Mr. W. Galloway, expressing sympathy with them iv their bereavement. The late Mr. Galloway was a. member of the board for seven years. The Inspector-General of Hospitals notified'that.since public moneys by way of subsidy r.re a part oi tha district nurse's emolument, :;he must bo-prapared to go to places oytside thz Psi-aparaurau School District, (a) i:; ca.s3s o; urgency, and (b) if directed 0!~ ssked to cia so by the local or other medical practitioner. It vvjis resolved : " Tlisi tha proposed alterations at this Ew:::-i Hospital be placed in the hands of.the boai'ii's engineer to carry out by day labour, and that tho work be pushed on forthwith." The resignations or Sister.-; Dora Weaver and W. Waite, Mr. W. Suridge (collector), and Mr. R. Frassr Dodus (dispenser's assistant) were accepted v/ith regret, and it was decided to send a special : letter of thanks to Sister Weaver, who. had carried out her dutie3 as s:ster in | charge of the Fever Block most satis- ■ factorilv:
