SENTENCED TO DEATH
EX-CONSTABLE'S DEFENCE. (Received May 26, 1 p.m.) ■ SYDNEY, This Day. Ex-Constable Worrell was found guitty of murdering his wife, and was sentenced to death. He made a statement that the deceased, during a fit of mad jealousy because he had married iris first wife while on service in England, snatched a revolver and shot herself dead, and that fear prevented him from reporting the circumstances. Worrell's first wife died shortly after reach-' ing Australia.
