(SI TELEORAPI].—SPECIAL TO THE POST.) MASTERTON, This Day. " The Masterton competitions were concluded .on Friday, with dancing and piping events.' Most of the winners in these events hailed from Wellington. The Masterton Chamber of 'Commerce has decided to ask Mr. G. E. Sykes to join the party of Parliamentarians that is visiting the Mangahao hydro-electric ■works. The Wellington Prices Investigation Tribunal visited Masterton on Friday, and investigated certain complaints. Fifteen degrees of frost were registered in Masterton on Friday morning. The Masterton Chamber of Commerce has decided to invite the British Trade Kxhibition to include Masterton in its itinerary. Messrs. J. M. Coradine, E.- G. Eton, and A. W. Hogg have been re-elected unopposed as members of the Masterton Trust Land Trust. An incipient fire occurred in the Central Hotel buildings on Friday night. Fortunately, it ivas discovered in time, and was got under before much damage Avas done. The senior championship football match. Gladstone v. Masterton, is being played on the Park Oval to-day. This is the first occasion on which the Oval has been used for football for some years.
