OTAKI, 15th April. The milk supply this season to the various factories is keeping up,remarkably well.. There is plenty of feed, and stock generally 'is in good condition. Ah enjoyable concert programme was submitted to the staff and patients of the Otaki Sanatorium on Tuesday night, and a pleasant evening was spent. Sister Lewis, of Otaki, has been granted leave to accompany the Natives to Rotorua, and will leave on Monday. The price of milk in Otaki is to be increased to 6d on Monday next. Mr. G. Tully has been elected president of the Levin branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union.

Miss Scaly, matron of the Otaki Hospital, js now on annual leave. Sister Pownall is in chargo of both the Sanatorium and Hospital. In the golf club's competitions on the opening day at Otaki, Miss O'Rourke won the ladies' approaching and putting, Mrs. W. M. Simcox the ladies' driving, S. Simcox the men's approaching and putting, and the men's driving. During the day trophies were given to P. Simcox, who won last year's championship; E-Hopkins. G. Griffiths, and G. H. 0. Hedditch, who won other competitions. Messrs. F. G. Cooper and W. J. Howell (Hutt County Council), and Messrs. J. P. Brandon arid H Nicolson (Otaki Town Board) have been elected to represent a conference of local body representatives to discuss matters appertaining, to the Maaigahao hydro-electric scheme.
