~ SYDNEY, 7ti April. An inter-State congress of consumers and co-operative societies is sitting with the object of organising and developing a co-operative system throughout the Commonwealth, with a~Vi(^v to' cutting out excessive unregulated competition and waste, in production «.nd distribution, and 'securing the highest standard of efficiency by co-operative purchase and disposal. J» will thus secure profit-shar-ing between master and workmen, and cut out any attempt to exploit tlje public. The conference decided to form a co-operative -union embracing- the whole Commonwealth, and to proceed with propaganda work.
