RIOTS AT ROUBAIX
DUE TO, WAGES DISPUTE.

Serious rioting occurred in the Roubaix district owing to- the refusal of the textile workers to accept a rise of 3 3-3 times the pre-war wage. This represents Mw> increase in the cost of living. Thera have been many acts of" violence, and tramcars and taxis were attacked, and thw occupants injured.
