CLOSING OF SEASON

MEETING OF THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Management Committee, of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening, Mr. C. J. Wilson, president, in the chair. It was decided to close the season on 10th April, matches in all grades to b« concluded on that date, weather permitting. Mr. C. S. Hammond was appointed delegate to the New Zealand Cricket Council. Permission was granted to the V.M.C.A. junipr team to travel to Auckland for the purpose of playing the V.M.C.A. junior team. The secretary reported that Mr. J. S. Swan had presented a bat for the man who makes the' highest number of runs for North against East in the match commenced on the Basin Reserve last Saturday. The best performance so far is that of C. J. Wilson, captain of the team, who made 78.
