At a largely-attended meeting of tho Chamber of Commerce, it was resolved : "That, in the opinion of this meeting, a reasonable living wage should bo given the workers, and unless tho Government takes immediate slops to effect an amicable settlement of tho strike, it is feared that disaster and ruination to hundreds of homes will result."
