Roberts, Food Controller, prior to relinquishing his duties submitted to Cabinet a memorandum strongly urging the continuance of the Ministry's functions, with increased powers. The Daily Chronicle states that Mr Lloyd George is favourably impressed -with the suggestion, and considers the Ministry should control other essential commodities, like wool, leather, and cotton, with price-fixing powers.
