LOCAL ABSENTEE VOTES

WHEN THEY WILL BE COUNTED.

The Returning Officers for the various City and Suburban electorates were engaged to-day in scrutinising the rolls. This task, it is estimated, will occupy two or three days. It is expected that all the absentee-votes will not be in for three or four days yet, and it is not proposed to count them until all have been received. Thus final results may not be expected before Monday next.
