MR. F. F. HOCKLY.
Mr. F._ P, Hoekly (Rotorna) was born at Orrell, near Liverpool, in 1865. He came to New Zealand in 1884, and engaged in work on the land, at which lie has remained ever since. Ho has had farms at Makuri in, the Forty-Mile Bush, and near Hunterville, and is at present farming at Parawera, near To' Awamutu. Mr. Hockly was one of the earliest members of the Farmers' Union. Ho has represented his branch at the Wellington Provincial Conference and the Dominion Conference. He was also on the Advisory Committee for two years, besides being the- first chairman of a sub-provin-cial district in New Zealand. He was also President of the" first Reform Conference held in Wellington shortly after Mr. Massoy becamo Prime Minister. Mr. Hockly was a member, and - for a time President, of the Second Auckland District Military' Service Board.
