AN ABANDONED INFANT

A young woman, Annie Gutsell, was charged with having abandoned her infant, which was found on the foreshore on Saturday. The accused admitted leaving tho child under a tree, as she was unable to get it admitted to a home', and had another infant to look after.

She was committed for sentence, and the children are to be sent to the Caversham Receiving Home.
