MUSICIANS' DISPUTE ENDED

SYDNEY, 10th December. The musicians' strike has ended. The strikers have accepted the employers' terms, pending the decision of tlie Court.

[The musicians employed in the Sydney theatres and picture houses went on strike on 22nd November. The present wage at the theatres is £3 15s for six performances a. week, lis for matinees, and 5s for each rehearsal. In the picture shows the wage is £3 per week, but the majority of the men receive £3 10s, £3 15s, and in some cases even more, for two and a-half hours performance. The men claimed £5 for six performances a week, 12s 6d for matinees, 5s for each rehearsal, and Is for every 15 minutes overtime at the theatres, arid £4 10s at the picture shows. The employers offered £3 12s, and requested that an extra 15 minutes should be added to each performance.]
