PAKEHA IN PORT.

From Newcastle the Shaw-Savill liner Pakeha arrived in the stream at Wellington last evening. She is to load at Wellington, Napier, Whangarei, and Auckland for Home, and is to sail from the northern port about the 31st December.

NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY.

On the Ist December the Ruapehu left Plymouth for New Zealand ports, via Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobart. She has cargo from Glasgow and Bristol for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.' "

The Ruahine left Capetown on the 28th November for Hobart, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on Christmas Day.

ARATAPU FOR DOCK.

Early in January the brigantine Aratapu, which has been sold by-the Tapley Shipping Line to a Nelson firm, will be dry docked at Port Chalmers for examination, and will later sail for Nelson. The Aratapu w.as built of wood at Aratapu in 1873, and is of 122 tons gross. For some years she was employed in the timber trade between Kaipara and Lyttelton, and was purchased about two years ago by the Tapley Line. For several months she has been at Dunedin.

IHTTMATA WITH COAL.

On Friday the collier Jhumata arrived at Auckland from Newcastle, which port she left on Friday week. She had a fine trip across with a head wind for the first two days. About 800 tons of coal -will be unloaded at Auckland, and a similar quantity at Gisbonie.

The Australford is to leave Wellington this evening for Auckland.

On Wednesday the Komata is to leave Auckland for Westport, via Wellington. She is due here on Friday with a part cargo of sugar, and will leave on Saturday for Westport.

The Kamo arrived at Wellington yesterday with a cargo of coal and timber from Greymouth and Westport. She is to leave Wellington about Wednesday next for the West Coast.

The Mahana sailed from Melbourne on Saturday last for Wellington. The vessel is due here on Thursday.
