REGATTA AT PETONE.

Races for the Inter-Club Regatta* wero held at Petone Beach on Saturday afternoon., Teams from the Wellington, Star, and Petone Clubs competed. There were some keen finishes. Results were :

Youths' Fours.—Star, 1; Petone, 2; Wellington, 3. Won by three-quarters of a length.- ---• Maiden Foure.—Wellington, 1; Star, 2; Petone, 3. A very close Tace, a yard separating fii_st and last boat. Junior Fours.—Star, 1; Wellington, 2; Petone, 3. A close finish between Star and Wellington. Won by a quarter of a length. Senior -Fours.—Petone, 1; Wellington, 2. Tlie only starters. Won easily. Petone were never troubled at any point in

the race.
