BROOKLYN MEMORIAL

A memorial to the memory of Brooklyn lads who fell in the great war is; to be erected on the peak of Sugar Loaf Hill. It will take the shape of an obelisk placed o.n a square base with six steps leading up to it. Round the four sides of (jhe base marble slabs will' be let in, and on these the names of the fallen ' will be inscribed. The whole will be twenty-eight feet high and eighteen feet square at the bottom, when finished. Subscriptions received so far amount to £60 6s 3d.
