EFFORTS TO SECURE AMENDMENTS.

The campaign to secure important amendments to the Shops and Offices Act on the lines already indicated in The Post is being continued by the Shop Assistants' Federation, It is stated that the question of hours is creating a. great deal of discontent, arid, in the opinion of one of those actively supporting the ■campaign, "the time has arrived when an antiquated Act such as that now on the Statute Book should be modernised."
