(BT'TBHSGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
i AUCKLAND, 6th August. Efforts to refloat the Northern Company's steamer Arapawa, which stranded on the Waitara bar on Sunday afternoon, have so far proved unavailing. The only result obtained has been that her stern ■was hauled clear from the rocky boulders where she was resting. The tides are poor, ami further efforts at refloating probably will not be made tiE next week. The weather remains fine. I '' NELSON, 6th August. The barque White Pine, which w|is ! stranded at Tarakohe yesterday, was refloated this evening and berthed at Taiakohe.
