TOTAL STRENGTH 1,200,000
EARLY REDUCTION BY HALF.

LONDON, 16th July.
The British Army in all theatres now comprises 1,200,000 men. ■ It will be reduced by half before 1920, by withdrawals from the Rhine, France, and the home, establishments., The reduction of the forces in the Middle East and India is unlikely.
