MUSIC BY THE BANDS

The various bands of the city did their best, to dispel any gloom which the weather may have cast over the Peace celebrations yesterday evening. The Waterside Workers' Band played in Lambton-quay, the Salvation Army Band from the Opera House balcony, the Tramways Band had a roving commission in the illuminated car, and the Highland Pipers provided music for Scotchmen. Other bands were to the fore in other parts of the city.
