Captain C. M'Donald,, Marine Superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company, has arrived in Wellington from the South. Mr. G. R. Ritchie, the general manager of the Rational Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Ltd., has. been appointed a director of the National Insurance Company of New Zealand, Ltd. . Mr. P. H. Putnam, of Wellington, returned to New Zealand with a. Tecent draft of tho Expeditionary Forces, an<l lias rejoined the legal firm, of Fell and Putnam. The Terrace Congregational Church will hold its 77th anniversary services to-mor-row, and tea and public meetings on Tuesday. At St. James's Hall on Tuesday, at 8 p.m., Chaplain Fielders Taylor will give an address to men on "The Church and Labour." The N.Z. Natives' Association Band will play selections at Lyall Bay to-morrow afternoon. Tho mon's meeting to-morrow afternoon at the V.M.C.A., Willis-street, will bo addressed by Mr. E. M.
