RIOTERS SENTENCED
LONDON, 2nd May.
Sixteen persons implicated in the Punjab liots have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment and transportation varying from life sentences to seven months. In the North-Western State the damage to the railways during the riots is estimated at £100,000.
