WELLINGTON HARRIERS

The Wellington Harriers opened their season on Saturday afternoon. The Brooklyn Olympic and Scottish Clubs combined, and altogether fourteen runners lined up. The trail led from the tramway waiting shed at Lyall Bay along the beach for about three-quarters of a mile. The - pack then made across the sandhills toward the golf links. A turn was then made for home. About 150 yards from the finishing post the pack was halted for the_,run-in. A good race resulted, -D. Wilson being first, G. Quig second, and S. Townsend third.
