" HAWERA, This Day. Fire destroyed the residence of Walter Nicholas, on tho South-road, some three miles from Hawera-, early last evening.© The .house belonged to L. G. L. Nicholas, -of Levin. The family was busy milking at the time of the outbreak, the cause of which is unknown Only a few blankets were saved. ' It is understood that the insurance on ,-the house and furniture totals £600.
