MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE

To-day the Supreme Court is engaged in the hearing of the third trial of Thomas Albrecht, on a charge of manslaughter. It is alleged against the accused that on 4th December he came home from work and' assaulted his' mother, causing injuries from which, she subsequently died. The accused has already been twice tried on the charge, and in each case the jury disagreed.- The. evidence given to-day was the same as that given at the former trials. • His Honour Mr. Justice Edwards was on the Bench, Mr. P. S. K. Macassey appeared for the Crown, and the prisoner was defended by Mr. H. F. o'Learj'. The hearing of the case was proceeding when the Post went to press.
